Overview

Born out of Africa for Africa - and believing in the potential of Africa as a continent, we are committed to creating prosperity and giving back to our community - the people of Africa. Playing an integral role in Nigeria's culture and economiy is important to us. We contributed N2 300 000 towards various projects in 2003. Some of the projects in which we are involved are:

The African Health Forum
The Handicapped Affairs Association of Nigeria
The Gidauniyar Alheri Enterprise and Development Centre
Nigerian Red Cross Society
The African Health Forum

The objective of the African Health Forum is to forge a private/public sector partnership in terms of health care planning and delivery. The emphasis is on providing networking opportunities for local and international stakeholders in healthcare and to encourage skills and technology transfer by providing a forum for the exchange of ideas. A donation of N500 000 was made to the forum.

The Handicapped Affairs Association of Nigeria

This project, which assists in providing for the basic needs of disabled children, has been running for three years. We provide financial support for co-ordinating and hosting the programme, which features drama, cultural dance and recitations by handicapped schoolchildren.

The Gidauniyar Alheri Enterprise and Development Centre

The objective of this centre is to enhance educational development and reduce unemployment, especially among the youth. We donated N100 000 to the centre in 2003.

Nigerian Red Cross Society

A donation of N55 000 was made towards the care of Liberian refugees in Nigeria.
